I made it through Finals!!!
This was one of the most stressful Finals Weeks I can remember having. Because I caught a cold the Saturday before Finals, I was sick the entire week. Having my microcontrollers project due the Friday before Finals had me pre-stressed and bone-tired before I even started to think about my tests. All my tests went well, despite being ill and being worn out before I even started to study.
I got my grades back yesterday, and I finally managed to get a 4.0 at Georgia Tech! Not bad for a semester when I took 17 hours and had plenty of extracurricular stuff going on. I’m really proud of finally having accomplished this, even if it did take me four years to finally do it. I feel like I’ve managed to really grow a lot this semester, between starting to work out again, tackling 17 hours, doing undergrad research, and finding my dream job for this summer. Obviously, I didn’t accomplish everything I wanted to, but I’m very happy with what I have managed to achieve.
In other news, I managed to move everything out of my room over the weekend. This was the first time I moved in two years, (since Fall 2006), so I had a lot of accumulated junk to sort through. I sold or gave away most of my bigger things, including my futon, old desktop computer, 32″ television, shelves, etc. It was a little weird parting with some of these things I’ve been using for the last 2-4 years, but I feel a lot freer with out all of it, and moving was a lot easier without all the extra stuff.
I’m still getting psyched up to tackling close to 3000 miles in my Miata. I’m going to take it in to get all the fluids and changed tomorrow. Maybe I should have them add cruise control and a sixth gear while I’m at it
. It’s going to be a long ride, but it shouldn’t be as hard as when I drove out here, since I’m breaking it into several days. I’m going to stop off at home in Fort Collins for a couple days on the way out to chill and rest up before heading out to Cali to find a place to live for the summer. Here are the two legs I’m breaking the trip into:

I’m planning to take three days for the first leg, and two for the second. I’m still trying to find things to do along the way to make the drive more interesting. Should be a fun trip!
